Delta Health System Welcomes New Hospital Administrator

Scott Christensen, Delta Health System Chief Executive Officer, announced and welcomed Janet Benzing as the new Delta Health System-Northwest Regional Administrator. Janet has been employed with Delta Health System for eight years as the Executive Director of Ancillary Services and has a wealth of healthcare knowledge and leadership experience.

“I am confident that Janet is the correct person to fill this position and will play a key role in energizing, motivating, and leading the staff in a positive and new direction. Janet is a seasoned leader with significant healthcare expertise and has been involved with the Delta Health System implementation and strategic plan from the onset,” said Christensen. “Janet’s executive and business development background coupled with her medical group and communication skills will ensure Northwest Regional’s success of expanding healthcare in the region.”

Delta Health System-Northwest Regional’s strategic plan includes providing additional services to the Coahoma County community. “I am honored to begin my role as administrator of Northwest Regional and will work to increase services and confidence in our facility. Meeting the physicians, providers and staff is one of my immediate goals as well as developing relationships with the Clarksdale and Coahoma County community,” said Benzing. “I am confident that our team can work together to become a premier healthcare destination.”

Prior to leading healthcare in Mississippi, her career encompassed a variety of leadership roles with Presence Health in the central Illinois region. This included implementation and delivery of quality, professional and compassionate medical services. “Janet has a stellar track record building trust and leadership among employees as well as working with medical providers,” said Christensen.

Janet is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) and is Board Certified through ACMPE. Also, she is extremely active in the community and serves on many non-profit boards in leadership positions. Janet, her husband Nathan and two children have made the Mississippi Delta their home.
