Medical Services

Hospice

Hospice is a special way to support and care for terminally ill patients and their families. Delta Regional Medical Center Hospice affirms life and regards dying as a natural process. Hospice care neither hastens nor postpones death, but provides medical and emotional support allowing the patient and family to make the most of their time together.

Each patient is evaluated on an individual basis according to their qualifying diagnosis and needs. Patients who qualify for hospice services must have a terminal diagnosis with an estimated life expectancy of 6 months or less if the illness runs its usual course. Hospice patients must also have a primary caregiver or have a professionally developed plan of care. Delta Regional Hospice serves Bolivar, Issaquena, Sharkey, Sunflower, and Washington counties.
