Comprised of 11 private beds with bathrooms, the Pediatrics Unit is marked by décor and color choices designed to relax and reassure our young patients. Our three staff pediatricians practice in a family-centered atmosphere where children and parents alike can feel comfortable.
Our experienced medical staff works hand in hand with pharmacy, dietary, psychology solutions, and rehab disciplines to provide comprehensive care to our patients. The Pediatrics Unit treats common diseases like respiratory therapy for asthmatic children, broken bones, and dehydration.
Security is of paramount concern in the unit which employs sophisticated monitoring technology to insure our patients’ safety. In addition, special “Red Wagon” treatment is employed when transporting patients to radiology or to discharge.
While in the unit, patients and their families may take advantage of our special 24-hour newborn channel which offers useful caregiver information. There is also a state-of-the-art playroom stocked with developmental toys and games, as well as more than 100 videos.
