A Special Place to Welcome Your New Baby
We believe one of the most wonderful experiences that life has to offer is the birth of a child. That is why at Delta Regional Medical Center we have created the Maternal Child Center where mothers and newborns can receive the special care they deserve in an environment that is comfortable and “family friendly.”
Our beautifully appointed maternity suites combine the comforts of home with advanced medical technology, so Mom can rest assured that she and her baby will have the very best of care. The suites are LDRP rooms where labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum care all occur in a comfortable, homelike setting. We offer rooming-in which allows the mother and the baby to remain in the same room until they are discharged. Limited visitors are allowed during the labor process. A fully equipped obstetric operating room, should the need arise, is located within the Maternal Child Center just a few steps from the maternity suites.
Inside these spacious private rooms are features designed to cater to the needs of the whole family. Many have televisions complete with VCRs, comfortable sofa beds or reclining chairs for dads who want to “room in,” and private baths, a number of which have Jacuzzi bathtubs, for mom’s comfort and relaxation.
When Mom is ready for a little rest, she can be confident that her new baby will receive the best of care in our Level II newborn nursery or in our Level IIIA NICU . Our Labor & Delivery nurses are experienced and most are certified in inpatient obstetrical nursing. Services offered: Breastfeeding consultant, Level II nursery, and Prenatal/ Childbirth classes.
If you would like to pre-register to have your baby at Delta Regional, our admissions office hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You will need to bring your insurance card and picture ID.
