Cardiac Rehabilitation is a comprehensive group of services that includes exercise, education, and risk factor counseling to promote a healthy lifestyle. These services are for patients that have had a cardiac event and want to regain their strength and reduce their risk for a future event.  For those with known cardiovascular disease the primary goal is to equip the patient and their family with the tools needed to make informed health care decisions and to improve their cardiovascular fitness through healthy lifestyle changes and reduced risk factors.  These services are individualized to each persons functional ability and severity of disease.

The Cardiac Rehabilitation services provided by Delta Regional Medical Center are certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). The AACVPR is dedicated to ensuring that all programs receiving this certification are demonstrating the highest level of quality patient care.
