Housed in the Emergency Department, Delta Regional’s Chest Pain Center is a 24-hour observation and treatment unit. After patients are first examined in triage and it is determined that the patient is not having a heart attack, he or she is then placed in the Chest Pain Center. There, the Delta Regional staff closely monitors the patient to determine if there is evidence of heart disease or any other condition.
The Chest Pain Center is located in a quiet section of the Emergency Department. From this center, all necessary blood tests, EKGs, and stress tests can be ordered while the patient’s chest pain is carefully monitored.
