Dr. Norrapol Wattanasuwan
Cardiologist
Dr. Wattanasuwan began his medical training at Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand where he received his medical degree. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Thailand’s Khon Kaen University and at the Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. It was at Long Island College Hospital that Dr. Wattanasuwan completed Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Training. Dr. Wattanasuwan in Board Certified in Invasive Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and Echo Cardiology.
An avid researcher, Dr. Wattanasuwan has had many cardiovascular findings published in leading professional publications such as the Journal of American College of Cardiology and the Journal of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Wattanasuwan’s major cardiac interests lie in the study and practice of non-invasive cardiology and cardiac imaging. Nuclear and echo cardiology, in addition to Cardiac CT scanning, provide Dr. Wattanasuwan leading technological tools to aid in the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Wattanasuwan is extremely passionate about his occupation. He understands the health issues of Delta residents and works daily to treat the cardiovascular disease so prevalent in our area. His philosophy is one of partnership with the patient’s primary care physician to deliver the highest quality of care possible for each and every patient. His friendly demeanor and avid patient education style have earned him the nickname “Dr. Watt” among his fellow staff and patients.
With his wife Evelyn, Dr. Watt makes his home in Greenville. He enjoys traveling, and he and Evelyn have explored many nearby destinations together such as New Orleans and Memphis in their free time. Dr. Watt enjoys reading, playing tennis and going to the movies. He joined the Delta Regional Medical Center team in August 2004.
