Barber, Dr. W. Henry

After receiving his BA from Davidson College, Dr. Barber obtained his MD from the University of Florida in Gainesville in 1979, followed by a Doctorate of Philosophy from Oxford University in England in 1984.  Post-graduate work includes completing his surgical residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he served as Surgical Program Director, as well as research fellowships in the area of Transplantation and Transplant Immunology.  Dr. Barber served as Surgical Director and Professor of Surgery and Microbiology at the University of MS Medical Center from 1993 to present.
