Stiles Named DRMC Volunteer of the Year
Mrs. Tommye Stiles has been named the Delta Regional Medical Center Volunteer of the Year for 2007. DRMC Volunteers serve in numerous ways at the hospital, including escorting patients and visitors to various areas of the hospital, assisting with community events, and fund raising to purchase needed hospital supplies. Mrs. Stiles was recognized at the 2007 MHA Society for Hospital Auxiliaries & Volunteer Services Convention that was held in Vicksburg.
“Mrs. Tommye Stiles has been a true treasure to Delta Regional Medical Center. She has been a volunteer since August 1999 and has devoted many hours of service over the last eight years,” stated Chrissy Nicholson, DRMC’s Human Resources Manager.
Mrs. Stiles and her husband Lee have four children and five grandchildren. Mrs. Stiles retired from Greenville Christian School in 1999, where she managed the cafeteria for 25 years. She has enjoyed painting, traveling, and reading over the years and does so as much as she can. She is also a member of the Mississippi Homemaker Volunteers, Ambassador for the Bologna Performing Arts Center, and a member of the First Baptist Church.
“We are so very thankful that Mrs. Stiles is a part of our family at Delta Regional Medical Center. She has been as dedicated to DRMC as she has been to every other facet of her life,” added Ray Humphreys, Chief Executive Officer at DRMC.
