Greenville, MS – As part of Delta Regional Medical Center’s (DRMC) effort to provide the best health care in the Delta, DRMC is instituting a new patient registration process.  The new procedure will make registration easier for patients and families as well as increase efficiency at DRMC.  Beginning the week of July 19th we have launched a new online patient pre-registration portal, patients.deltaregional.com linked to http://www.deltaregional.com.

The online patient pre-registration website provides patients with easy access to online forms for hospital pre-registration, information about hospital policies, and pre-registration procedures.  Online pre-registration is available to patients scheduled for outpatient tests, surgery, and admission to the hospital.  All information submitted in DRMC’s online patient pre-registration will be treated as part of the patient’s confidential patient record.

Jane Willoughby, Director of Patient Access Services, says, “We are pleased to be able to offer on-line pre-registration to our patients.  This new service will allow our patients to provide the information required for registration at a time and place that is more convenient for them.  Once the information is received and processed by the pre-registration staff at Delta Regional, patients will experience an expedited admission process on the day of their visit.”

Pre-registration needs to be completed as soon as possible and no later than two business days prior to the patient’s scheduled appointment.  If a patient’s appointment is within 48 hours and they haven’t pre-registered yet, they will need to call the hospital at 662-725-2031 to pre-register.  When the patient has completed and submitted the registration forms, they will receive a return receipt via e-mail. DRMC will then contact the patient to discuss their scheduled visit.

Patients will still arrive at DRMC thirty (30) minutes prior to their scheduled appointment time or as directed by their physician. The thirty minutes is to allow patients who have pre-registered to sign papers giving permission for treatment and release of information. However, upon arrival the patient will be informed if they are able to Express Admit to further expedite their visit.
