Greenville, MS – Cindy Clark Van Woeart, RN, BSN, COS-C, HCS-D, Director of Home Health and Hospice at Delta Regional Medical Center (DRMC), was elected to the Louisiana-Mississippi Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (LMHPCO) board of directors for Mississippi.  Three members at large are elected from Mississippi and three members at large from Louisiana to serve a two year term of office.  Clark Van Woeart’s term begins July 1, 2010 and expires June 30, 2012.  Delta Regional Home Health and Hospice is a member of the LMHPCO.

LMHPCO exists to ensure the continued development of hospice and palliative care services in Louisiana and Mississippi. LMHPCO, not-for-profit educational organization, provides public awareness, education and technical assistance regarding end-of-life care, as well as advocacy for terminally ill and bereaved persons, striving to continually improve the quality of end-of-life care in Louisiana and Mississippi.

Clark Van Woeart says of her appointment, “I am very excited about being elected to the LMHPCO board of directors for Mississippi, and especially happy that I will be able to advocate for the hospices and hospice patients and families of the Delta.”

Clark Van Woeart has served as Director of Home Health and Hospice at DRMC since 2008. She previously served as Director of Home Health and Hospice at Lake Charles Memorial in Lake Charles, LA.  Clark Van Woeart before moving to Greenville served on the Board of Directors for the Home Care Association of Louisiana.

Clark Van Woeart received her Bachelors degree in Nursing from McNeese State University, Lake Charles, LA. in 1981.  She holds a certification as a home care coding specialist, diagnosis from the Board of Medical Specialty Coding, since 2007.  Also, she holds a certification as an OASIS specialist, clinical from the OASIS certificate and competency board, since 2007.

Cindy Clark Van Woeart and her husband, Stephen Van Woeart live in Greenville.  She has two children, Brian Clark, 26, of Lake Charles, LA., and Mallory Clark, 23, of Baton Rouge, LA.
