Center Welcomes New Physicians

The Physician Satisfaction Team and the Healthcare Development Committee of the Economic Development Center hosted a welcome reception at the home of DRMC Board member Sam Newsom and his wife Kay. Over 100 physicians and community members attended the party which was held on April 3. Dr. Marc Abramson and his wife Beth, Dr. Lucy Limaylla and her husband Gene Hawkins, and Dr. Michael Merrell and his fiance Jill Reynolds were introduced.  "We appreciate the Newsom’s opening their beautiful home for this party to welcome our new physicians to members of the Economic Development Center," stated Ray Humphreys.


The Healthcare Development committee of the Chamber has several DRMC team members and spouses serving on it. Gay Pieralisi is the commitee chairman and Nadine Hayek, Ken Ibsen, Eligah Johnson, Jamie Prior, Lesa Trotter, and Susan Turner are among those on the committee. "The Healthcare Development Committee is one of our more active committees," stated Britt Virden, president of the Economic Development Center, "The collaboration between DRMC’s Physician Satisfaction Team and the Healthcare Development team made the party such a success."



 


Dr. Lucy Limaylla (pictured right with Betty Lynn Cameron) is the newest member to join the Emergency Department (ED) team. 

 Dr. Michael Merrell  joins Dr. Limyalla in the ED. Dr. Merrell is pictured with Healthcare Committee member John Turner, III.

 

 


 Dr. Marc Abramson completes the trio of new physicians and joins the Anesthesiology team at Delta Regional.
