Virtual Dementia Tour

DELTA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER ALONG WITH THE WASHINGTON COUNTY ALZHEIMER’S CAREGIVER AND SUPPORT GROUP HOLDS VIRTUAL DEMENTIA TOUR
Greenville, MS – Do you have a loved one or know someone that suffers from Alzheimer’s disease or dementia? Now you can experience the challenges they go through each day in the virtual dementia tour. Delta Regional Medical Center along with the Washington County Alzheimer’s Caregiver and Support Group invite you to attend a Virtual Dementia Tour, hands on experience with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. The event will be held January 28th and January 29th from 10am – 2:00pm at the Delta Regional Pavilion Learning Center, 1693 Fairgrounds Road in Greenville, across from the YMCA.
Delta Regional Medical Center’s Behavioral Health Services Program Director Jessica Willis, M.Ed., LPC, NCC, ACS says, “The virtual dementia tour is an excellent tool that allows caregivers and the public to experience first hand the world of an Alzheimer’s or dementia patient. We want to encourage everyone to attend and take advantage of this opportunity.”
This program is free of charge and provided by Sharkey-Issaquena Community Hospital Senior Care. Space is limited, so please call 820-0565 to set up an appointment or for additional information.
Also, plan to join the monthly Alzheimer’s support group meeting on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at Wellington Place, 1880 Fairgrounds Road in Greenville. Call 334-4646 to make a reservation or for more information on the support group.
