Think Pink! 2009 Pink Package

Greenville, MS – Early detection and treatment dramatically increase the survival rates of women with breast cancer, which is the second leading cause of death for American females.  For this reason Delta Regional Medical Center says “Think Pink!”.  In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, DRMC is offering the 2009 Pink Package….now with Digital Mammography!

Delta Regional Medical Center had great success with the “Pink Package” last year, and looks for an even greater response with this year’s 2009 Pink Package.  The 2009 Pink Package will include a mammogram with DRMC’s new digital mammography machine and physician reading for a special price of only $135.00.
Compared to traditional X-ray mammography, digital mammography replaces film images with high-resolution computer images of the breast tissue. The technology is particularly beneficial to the 40 percent of women who have dense breast tissue, are under 50 years old, or who are menopausal. According to a New England Journal of Medicine study, digital mammography provides up to 28 percent greater detection of breast cancer in those women.
“The procedure has many benefits:  it is quicker than traditional mammography, uses less radiation, more comfortable for the patient, and produces instant digital images that a radiologist can magnify and enhance to provide a more accurate reading,” says David Wallace, Director of Radiology at DRMC.

The 2009 “Pink Package” is a limited time offer with limited appointments available.  To take advantage of this offer, patients must have their family physician or nurse practitioner call 725-3790 to schedule their appointment before October 16th.  All tests must be paid for my cash/check or credit card at time of service.  No insurance will be filed by Delta Regional Medical Center for these tests.
