DRMC’s Next Childbirth Class

July 6, 2009
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DELTA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER’S NEXT CHILDBIRTH CLASS.

Greenville, MS – Delta Regional Medical Center delivers an average of 960 babies each year. Delta Regional Medical Center believes one of the most wonderful experiences that life has to offer is the birth of a child. That is why Delta Regional Medical Center created the Maternal Child Center where mothers and newborns can receive the special care they deserve in an environment that is comfortable and “family friendly.” To prepare expecting parents for this special moment Delta Regional Medical Center began offering childbirth classes seven years ago.

Tracy Killebrew, Clinical Director of the Maternal Child Center and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Delta Regional Medical Center, says “Our Prepared Childbirth Classes will provide expecting parents with detailed information concerning the stages of labor, role of the coach, relaxation and breathing techniques, birth options, cesarean births, postpartum issues and newborn care. Expectant parents who have attended our classes have repeatedly said this class was extremely informative and the instructor, Autumn Bennett, was experienced and a great teacher.”

The next childbirth class offered will be Tuesday, July 21st and Thursday, July 23rd.  This is a two day class that is free to expecting parents. To register for the childbirth class call 334-Baby (2229) before Friday, July 17th.  Delta Regional Medical Center has childbirth classes throughout the year based on the amount of expecting parents.  If you cannot make this class please call 334-Baby (2229) to find out when the next class will be held.
