Delta Regional Medical Center Recognizes National Nurses Day

Greenville, MS – Delta Regional Medical Center joins the rest of the nation in celebrating our nurses this National Nurses Day, Thursday, May 6th.  National Nurses Week is celebrated annually from May 6, also known as National Nurses Day, through May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.

Nursing is a profession that embraces dedicated people with varied interests, strengths and passions. Hospitals across the nation rely on their experience, training, and caring nature day everyday.  Nurses can be found in our schools, emergency rooms, hospitals, and clinics to name a few.

Tracy Killebrew, RN, MSN, Clinical Nurse Educator says, “During this week the nearly 3.1 million registered nurses nationwide are honored for their dedication, commitment, and continuing efforts to improve health care and the value of the nursing profession is promoted. Delta Regional Medical Center is proud to recognize its nursing departments by offering receptions, ice cream socials, and other hospital events beginning May 5th through May 7th.”
